Officers investigating the major break in and theft at the Laggan Wolftrax Visitor Centre in Badenoch & Strathspey believe the criminals would have needed a large vehicle to haul away such a large number of goods. And they have urged drivers to check their car dashcams in case they may have caught any suspicious looking vehicles which fit the bill.

The thefts took place at Laggan Wolftrax, off the road between Aviemore and Fort William, with the robbers targeting the visitor centre and the accompanying bike hire shop, The Wee Bike Hub, nearby.

Police in Aviemore are investigating after eight Polygon Siskiu T8 mountain bikes, estimated to be worth around £12,800, were stolen from Laggan Wolftrax Visitor Centre in Badenoch and Strathspey between 11pm on Friday and 3am yesterday. At the same time 12 other mountain bikes “of various makes and models”, worth a combined £39,500, and a further £3100 worth of clothing were also stolen from The Wee Bike Hub.
