Premium Content Subscriber only A Gladstone woman with four previous domestic violence convictions has again fronted court for a violent attack. The 28-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court on February 19 to contravening a domestic violence order. The court was told police were called to an incident where the woman had punched her victim through a car window and bit him on the arm. She told police she had bitten him so that he would go away. Police prosecutor Sergeant Tanya Griffiths said the woman had four other convictions for violent offences dating back to February 2019.

Premium Content Subscriber only GLADSTONE man Curtis Reginald James Harding has narrowly escaped serving actual jail time after he offended while on a suspended sentence. Harding pleaded guilty to six offences in Gladstone Magistrates Court on December 14 including failing to dispose of a needle and syringe, possessing utensils, possessing dangerous drugs, two counts of drug-driving and unlicensed driving. Police prosecutor Sergeant Tanya Griffiths told the court Harding had a history of drug offending and had been given several opportunities through the courts. Sgt Griffiths said his offending was placing other road users at risk. Defence lawyer Cassandra Ditchfield said the 30-year-old “fell off the wagon” after a relationship breakdown.
