After being hidden for a decade, a priceless mural has been rediscovered in the heart of the city.
On Thursday, April 8, officials at the Mexican Cultural Institute (MCI) proudly unveiled Telón de la paz, a mural by Manuel Felguérez, a Mexican artist who died from COVID-19 last year. The abstract artist’s striking creation took up an entire wall, much to the amazement of representatives from the MCI, Consulate General of Mexico in San Antonio, the City’s Department of Arts & Culture, and the San Antonio-Mexico Friendship Council as well as interested art fans.
