The Gauhati High Court has acquitted all six convicts in the 2004 bomb blast in Assams Dhemaji. The Assam government has asked the Director General of Police to study the judgment and, if legal advice is obtained, they will appeal to the Supreme Court. The blast, carried out by the proscribed militant outfit United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA), killed 18 people, including 13 schoolchildren.
