KATHMANDU May 14: Litterers who threw their waste on riverbank were fined on the spot during the Bagmati clean-up campaign with the slogan “Two hours of weekly volunteering for the nation.”

　台風14号の接近に伴い、中国や近畿地方などでも交通網に影響が出ている。JR西日本は17日午後から、山陽新幹線の広島―博多間で運転を取りやめる「計画運休」を実施。在来線でも一部区間の運転見合わせを決めた。今後、さらに特急などが運休する可能性があり、JR西は注意を呼びかけている。
