A policeman identified as Ahmed Ali has been killed by a soldier in Borno after his team reportedly stopped a soldier who was conveying Indian hemp with his vehicle. The soldier trafficking the marijuana was identified as Sgt. Undei Joseph is said to be attached to the 29 Task Force Brigade. The soldier who fired the shots that killed Ali was identified as PTE Ibrahim Waberi. SaharaReporters learnt that the incident happened around 10 am on Monday in Benisheikh town.

ONCE again, ex-Lennox Petroleum Services Ltd workers have staged a protest at the front of the home of the company’s CEO in Sumadh Gardens, Vistabella. They also did this last week.
Over the past month, these former employees have held protests over the company’s alleged refusal to pay over 300 people a total of US$9.6 million. The company has since called these statements “factually untrue,” and said a labour dispute litigation process is going on in the courts.
