Erecting a fence, installing CCTV and bordering up broken windows and doors are among the new measures being put in place at Sandown's derelict Ocean Hotel.
The local police force called on Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service to save the day yesterday (Saturday), after a handcuff key snapped in its lock with the detained person still inside them.
