Long wait at vaccination centres leaves Mumbai s senior citizens grumbling
On the first day of phase three of the Covid vaccination drive, India Today TV did a ground check of some of the biggest vaccination centres in Mumbai and found many senior citizens complaining about the hours-long wait they had to endure to get inoculated.

As the next phase of Covid vaccination began across India on Monday, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) also prepared to vaccinate as many vulnerable citizens as possible in Mumbai.
Coronavirus India March 1 highlights: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday kick-started phase 2 of the coronavirus vaccine drive in India as he took his first vaccine dose at AIIMS, Delhi on Monday morning. India will begin phase 2 of its nationwide coronavirus vaccination drive to inoculate those above the age of 60 and those over 45 with comorbidities on Monday. The vaccines will be administered free of cost at government hospitals and health centers while Rs 250 will be charged for it at private health facilities. India, meanwhile, continues to register over 15,000 daily coronavirus cases as five states witness a surge in their infections.

4.27 lakh vaccine doses given till 7 pm today
According to government data, 4.27 lakh vaccine doses have been given till 7 pm today. A total of 25 lakh beneficiaries register on Co-Win portal today, of which 24.5 Lakh are citizen beneficiaries.
More than 1.47 crore Covid-19 vaccine doses have been administered in India so far.
