The National Museum’s Learning Centre concludes its art workshops By: Times News Service In partnership with bp Oman, The National Museum’s Learning Centre has concluded a series of virtual art workshops presented by Dr Najla Al Saidi, assistant teacher at the Department of Art Education, at the Sultan Qaboos University (SQU). The workshops aimed at introducing participants to various artwork including their origin, history, and their cultural significance. The participants were encouraged to create different artworks by using different tools and techniques. The first workshop that was held targeted SQU students and discussed the art of acrylic Pouring. The second workshopp was held for the Omani Women Association at Seeb where they were taught how to use resin art, and the third workshop was held for university students as part of the Learning Centre’s College and University programme which focused on linoleum art.
