Date Time Paul Orton appointed Group General Manager Internal Audit ANZ today announced the appointment of Paul Orton as Group General Manager Internal Audit, reporting to the Chair of the Audit Committee Paula Dwyer. Having joined ANZ in 2009, Mr Orton is currently ANZ’s Head of Resources, Energy & Infrastructure and was previously the Global Head for Project and Export Finance. ANZ Chief Executive Officer Shayne Elliott said: “It’s pleasing to be able to appoint a senior banker with Paul’s track-record and strong values to such an important role that provides the Board and our management team with independent and objective assurance on our operations.”

The first cohort of 20,000-word, pamphlet-like books on topics of national importance was launched last Thursday night at Melbourne’s RACV Club, to a mostly local audience that due to recent captivities hadn’t seen a canape in months.

In a statement, the bank said Michelle Jablko, who had been chief financial officer since 2016 and a member of the ANZ executive committee, would depart over the coming months. ANZ said Ms Jablko had been “a passionate supporter of diversity and inclusion” in her time at the bank, having served as executive sponsor for ANZ’s Pride Network, and had also served on the board of ANZ Bank New Zealand.
