JACKSON, MI – Jackson city administrators quietly replaced the director of a large department in December, records show.
Jennifer Morris, director of the city’s Department of Neighborhood and Economic Relations, or NEO, was “terminated,” according to Morris’ personnel file obtained by MLive/The Jackson Citizen Patriot through a Freedom of Information Act request.
City administrators declined to comment on the circumstances that led to her departure, citing a policy against speaking about personnel matters. Spokesman Aaron Dimick confirmed the city entered a separation agreement with Morris in December. A personnel action request reads Morris was “terminated” on Dec. 9.
