Fire crews are keeping an eye out for hotspots after a threealarm fire damaged three buildings in oakland. It started 7 15 last night on walnut street. Thats near foothill boulevard. There was a fire in a nearby warehouse that spread quickly to buildings on foothill. A church and a Realty Office were burned. Investigators are working to figure out how that fire started. Tonight there are no serious injuries but more than three dozen people cannot go home. Good evening, im eric thomas. We have Team Coverage tonight of this developing story. Lets begin with abc7 News Reporter lisa, who is live from near where flames first broke out in San Franciscos burnal heights neighborhood. Reporter more than 150 firefighters have been in and out here tonight. Take a look behind me. You can see they are still spraying down those store fronts. They want to make sure nothing flares up again tonight. Thick smoke hung over Bernal Heights for hours as fire ripped through six buildings at mission and 29th streets. Early indications are the fire started near the rear of coles hardware store. We do have some, you know, products with chemicals. And we dont really know how it start of course.
