Road rage suspect accused of shooting, wounding car occupant in Wilton

WILTON — Saratoga County deputies said they arrested a Northumberland man after he allegedly shot and wounded a person in another car during a road rage incident near Ballard Road in Wilton at about 10 p.m. Wednesday.
Shawn R. Bultman, 40, was charged with felony assault, felony weapons charges and felony reckless endangerment, deputies said. He was also charged with misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child, as was a 30-year-old woman with him, because their two-year-old son was with them at the time, sheriff's investigators said.
The incident happened in the area of Ballard Road and Whispering Pines Mobile Home Park. The victim was injured in the abdomen and lower leg with a 12-gauge shotgun and was taken to Albany Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

The injured driver was taken to Albany Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, officials said. The child was not physically injured.
Arrested in connection with the shooting was Shawn R. Bultman, 40, of James Court, Northumberland. He faces one count each of second-degree assault, second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, first-degree reckless endangerment and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, felonies, officials said.
Bultman and another person in his car, Gina M. Kolakovic, 30, also of James Court, Northumberland, were also charged with endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor.
