President Muhammadu Buhari will on Tuesday receive the “African Award for Strengthening Peace’’ in Nouakchott, Mauritania. The award is to honour him for his leadership role in promoting peace on the continent, through regular inventions, counsel and conciliatory position. The award will be presented to President Buhari by the Abu Dhabi Peace Forum, which is an assembly of leaders established in 2014 to pursue new ways to embrace inclusive citizenship, promote lasting peace, and work towards a safer and more sustainable world for everyone, Voice of Nigeria reports.
All is now set for President Muhammadu Buhari to undergo surgery for the removal of a mass in his body believed to be cancerous at Royal Brompton Hospital in the United Kingdom, SaharaReporters has gathered. According to a presidential source, the President will be travelling to Seoul at the end of the month on a five-day official visit. He is expected to leave the Asian country after the event for London where he will be seeing his doctors at Royal Brompton Hospital situated at Sydney St, London SW3 6NP between 1-2 November, 2022.
Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of the State of Qatar has rejected a visit to the country by Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari. The Emir is the monarch and head of state of the country. He is also the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces and guarantor of the constitution. Al Thani holds the most powerful position in the country and has a prominent role in foreign relations.
