one of the things really helping big business is the republicans understand that getting people riled up, that the tax system needs reform, but doing nothing about it is like an atm that perpetually puts money into campaign coffers. don t solve the problem, just keep drawing attention to it, let the democrats make noise about it and then accuse the democrats of somehow trying to ruin the economy. so we clearly have an archaic and outdated tax system because we haven t done anything in 30 years. is that correct? yes. we have a tax system in america that s very well designed for the middle of the last century. but we live in a different economy today and we need to have fundamental reform of our tax system. i m actually work on a project to design a tax system for the 21st century. i m trying to raise some money to fund the research on it. but we need a tax system that flows from order.
