Grand Haven’s Paul McMullen, a former Olympic runner and coach of a local running group, died in a ski crash at a northern Michigan ski resort Thursday night.
McMullen’s death was confirmed by Team Stellafly, a multi-sport racing team that McMullen belonged to.
“We re waking up to some devastating news about our teammate Paul McMullen. Paul McMullen passed away last night after a devastating ski accident,” the team posted on its Facebook page.
McMullen, 49, leaves behind a wife, Nuria, and three children.
