With the cost of living increasing exponentially, itโs tough for folks to stay in business these days. For Community Opportunities, a local non-profit that employs 47 developmentally-disabled adults, primarily providing recycling services to the community in an effort to keep local lakes and rivers free from pollution, the situation has grown dire. In the aftermath of a pandemic followed by record-high utility costs and a deteriorating building, the organization is on the verge of closing.

The United Way of Northeast Missouri hosted itโs 2nd annual Charity Trivia Night on Saturday, April 1, at the Kirksville Moose Lodge. The winning team was "The Wallhuggers", who outperformed 22 other competitors and donated their winnings back to the the United Way. A total of $6,600 was raised through the charity event.ย

The United Way of Northeast Missouri (UWNEMO) will host Itโs 2nd annual Charity Trivia Night on Saturday, April 1, from 7-10 p.m. at the Kirksville Moose Lodge. This yearโs event will build upon last years hugely popular Trivia Night that welcomed 18 teams, raising over $5,000 for the 11 local agencies who are funded by the United Way of Northeast Missouri.
