IDABEL, Okla. - A large group of citizens gathered Wednesday in McCurtain County to voice concerns about some disturbing comments reportedly made by local government officials.
For the first time Wednesday, June 7, McCurtain County residents got to meet in-person with their state representative, Eddie Dempsey, since several county leaders, including the sheriff, were recorded making remarks about lynching Black people and killing two newspaper reporters.
