VELMA, Okla. (TNN) - Fire crews in Stephens County were called out to battle four separate grassfires that burned near Velma Friday afternoon.
According to Sheriff Wayne McKinney, some evacuations were done for homes near the blaze.
At this time there is no information on if there was any structure damage or whether any injuries have been reported, but authorities say fire crews were able to get the fires under control by 1 p.m.
