Regents ready to announce new WSU president
The Kansas Board of Regents will meet in Wichita on Thursday to announce the next president of Wichita State University.
The meeting has been scheduled for 10 a.m. in the Rhatigan Student Center, in the Shirley Beggs Ballroom on the third floor.
The board will have a public vote to name the next president, and the president-elect will then make an acceptance speech.
The chosen candidate will take over for acting president Rick Muma, who has been serving since the resignation of Jay Golden in September, 2020. Golden had served as WSU president for less than a year.
