Anisul Hoque, a beloved contemporary literary figure, has gained acclaim for his contributions to poetry, short stories, novels, satire, and various literary genres. Recognised with the prestigious Bangla Academy Award and numerous other accolades, his work, particularly the book "Ma", has achieved unprecedented print numbers in the country.
The first-floor gallery at Bengal Shilpalay showcases a mesmerising array of clay sculptures from various regions of Bangladesh. Amongst them, you'll find different depictions of birds, elephants, elephant-riders, horses, horse-riders, tigers, musical instruments, and humans in various dynamic poses.
A unique exhibition titled “Rabindranama” is currently underway at the capital’s Kala Kendra. The exhibition features portraits of the kabiguru Rabindranath Tagore, as seen through the vision of 68 eminent and novice artists. The event organised by Kibria Printmaking Studio, commemorates the birth anniversary of the poet.
