SUISUN CITY The City Council this week officially reduced the number of members on the Planning Commission from seven to five.
The ordinance was introduced in December. The council’s action Tuesday was part of the consent calendar and was taken without additional comment. It goes into effect
During the day, Shoveller Drive in Suisun City looks like any other neighborhood, but at the stroke of 6 p.m. one house lights up brighter than all the others.

Caltrans awards nearly $5M for Solano safety projects
FAIRFIELD Solano County and six of its cities have been awarded close to $5 million in federal Highway Safety Improvement Program funds, the state Department of Transportation announced Thursday.
The project funds are part of $227 million awarded March 25 “to fund safety projects designed to reduce traffic deaths and serious injuries on city and county roads,” Caltrans said in a statement.
