Shutdown plan. this is interesting, anderson. 1,056 members of the presidents executive office staff would be furloughed in the event of a shutdown. that would leave only 659 employees here at the bhowhite house who would continue to work. they, under federal law, are only allowed to come to work on monday for four hours, and that is to basically plan for a shutdown, to sort of wrap things up and get out of dodge for a little while until this thing is resolved. so theyre making contingency plans...
