Community calling for more discussions to find a solution that helps everyone

The FCC is currently looking at proposals to fund Wi-Fi on school buses across the nation, and one Vermont school district is already implementing the technology in its vehicles.

At a time when Vermont's labor force is calling for more employees, this conference is trying to hold industries to a standard of inclusion.

"The biggest change I've seen has just been in the public perception of cannabis," said Nathaniel "Nat" Williams, the dispensary manager at Ceres Collaborative in Burlington.

"We want the kids to come out and to learn practical ways that they can help improve our environment and take that forward with them."

"It's really tough to look at someone and say, 'I can only give you a box of food for a month,'" said one volunteer.

During National Recovery Month, we're highlighting two local businesses that have worked to foster positive environments for those recovering from addiction.

"A hotel is one of the last pieces that we need for what the city envisioned for economic development down here," said Kristine Lott, the mayor of Winooski.
