Traffic patterns will change in Vincennes during the upcoming eclipse celebration.

This week’s big melt has turned hard-packed, icy side streets into a slushy mess.

What began as freezing rain across the area is predicted to transition to snow. These conditions will make road conditions messier.

"The arctic cold temperatures froze residual snow in place before the salt was able to fully activate to melt... the snow," a DPW spokesperson said.
