Rutherford County ALL-County Bands Concert Taking Place Friday

The 2022 RCS All-County Bands Concert will take place Friday, Feb. 25 at 7 p.m. at World Outreach Church, and the public is encouraged to attend free of charge. All Rutherford County middle schools and comprehensive high schools will be participating, and more than 250 students will be playing. Siegel Middle, Siegel High and Stewarts Creek High Beta Club members place at national competition Aug 02, 2021 at 06:03 pm by WGNS By AMANDA CHEUVRONT and KEITH RYAN CARTWRIGHT All their springtime work paid off for the Beta club members from Siegel Middle with a pair of top five finishes at the National Beta Convention, including first place in the performing arts solo, duo, trio category. The first-place team included McKenna Elliott, Samantha Festervand and Reese Lynam and they beat out more than 30 schools competing in-person and even more virtual entries. Fellow eighth-grader Noah Wright took third in social studies. This was the second year in a row Wright placed at the National Convention. He was third in the seventh grade competition last year.

Tuesday Morning Fire Destroys Home Jan 05, 2021 at 09:38 am by WGNS First units on-the-scene reported that the structure was fully involved.  Authorities said there were no injuries in the blaze, but the home was a total loss. Bishop Street is in a neighborhood that is located behind First United Methodist Church and Siegel Middle School. The 2,800 square foot home was built in 1995. The Murfreesboro Fire Marshal s office is conducting a routine investigation, and they ask if anyone has information about the Tuesday morning fire to please contact 615-893-1422.
