Columbus Municipal School District trustees unanimously passed a resolution during a special-call meeting Tuesday to hold a special election for a bond that would fund $36 million in facility improvements.

A new road will hopefully alleviate some of the traffic congestion issues at the Lowndes County Port.

Some Lowndes County residents will be casting their votes in a new place when next month's primaries roll around.
