Services have been set for a 44-year-old Massachusetts father who died while saving one of his children from a rip current at a New Hampshire beach Wednesday, Sept. 20.

Gary Simard was found unresponsive in the water about 75 yards from the shore at Salisbury Beach and was taken to a hospital in Seabrook Beach, N.H., where he was pronounced dead.
