A slight chance of a stray thunderstorm in the Tri-Cities, but a better chance of a stray thunderstorm in the Simcoe Highlands this afternoon.

Power outages, fallen trees/branches, and difficult travel for high profile vehicles is likely during the strong winds.

Weather Forecast: Tonight through Sunday Night

A large upper-level ridge continues to linger over the region bringing several snow showers in the mountains.

Most of the snow showers look to decrease by 11 a.m. Thursday with a chance of some isolated flurries through the late morning/early afternoon.

The cold front looks to stall out near Moses Lake, Wenatchee, and Ritzville overnight before dropping south Thursday midday.

A well-defined shortwave approaches the Oregon coast this weekend bringing widespread rain to the region. Rain amounts are expected to be between 0.5-1.0" along the east slopes of the cascades

Southerly flow will pull warm air and showers from the Tropical Jet Stream along the West Coast into our neck of the woods through Sunday morning.

Today freezing rain puts us into a weather alert until 10 a.m. Sunday.

This morning shows 3-5” accumulated snow around the Tri-Cities with a few spots just over 5”. Yakima totaled just under 1½” and Ellensburg saw trace amounts.
