Fatal helicopter flight due to pilot flying too low
Simcox crashed his helicopter into power lines near DUrville Island on March 13, 2015. The crash happened at about 5.30pm when the helicopter hit a power line which spanned the French Pass. The impact caused one or both of the main rotor blades to come in contact with the cockpit, before the helicopter descended sharply into the sea, the report said.
