Russian forces have downed 73 Ukrainian drones over the past 24 hours after a night of mass attacks centred on Crimea, according to the country’s defence ministry.

A Russian naval base in occupied Crimea was rocked by an explosion on Friday as Ukraine appeared to launch its largest ever drone attack.
