Community Talk with Journalist Simon Ostrovsky. Join Pulitzer grantee Simon Ostrovsky for a community lecture with the Charles Center at the College of William & Mary. The conversation will take place virtually on Monday, October 25, 2021, at 6pm EDT.
Ostrovsky is a PBS special news correspondent. He is most well known for his coverage of the 2014 Crimea crisis with VICE News, which led to two Emmy nominations and the prestigious duPont award from Columbia University. His primary reporting focus has been the countries of the former Soviet Union. He was present for four revolutions and two wars. He has also spent extensive time investigating North Korea’s economic activity, and its continued practice of cheap labor.
The Charles Center supports undergraduate research, student fellowships, studies abroad, and more at William & Mary, a Pulitzer Center Campus Consortium partner.
