Mexico's most powerful drugs cartel assassinated new police chief
Juan Miguel Silva Alvarado was shot on August 6 near the Sinoloa State Prosecutors Office. He was assassinated by the Sinaloa cartel, who pioneered tunnels to send drugs from Mexico.
