Investors are increasingly pouring money into mutual funds through SIPs with monthly collections surging past the Rs 16,000 crore mark. However, there are still many myths surrounding this mode of investment into risk assets.

Arbitrage funds in the mutual fund space are benefiting from the widening spread between the cash and stock futures segment, providing tax advantages for investors.

The report found that, while the percentage return is marginally higher for SIPs that started at the bottom of the market cycle, the absolute gain in rupee terms (wealth creation) is far higher for SIPs that began at the top.

KUALA LUMPUR: If the services of over 500 employees of a low-cost airline were terminated, then they can expect to receive the benefits of the Employment Insurance System (SIP) under the Social Security Organisation (Socso), says V. Sivakumar.
