A SCHOOL S prize giving ceremony was a celebration of student achievement in a very difficult year . The awards were awarded to students in years 11 to 13 at the Sir John Colfox Academy in an event before the Christmas holidays. The ceremony took place during the school day with students from each year group bubble receiving their awards in a Covid-secure manner. Staff said it was important the ceremony went ahead considering what everyone had been through this year. Unfortunately, the school could not invite parents of students or students who left to go to university last year – but awards were posted to those that could not attend.

Schoolboy sets up farming business after renting neighbour s land to rear flock of sheep He was just 12 when he found a patch of land to start Will s Lambs Will Banham, 13 A 13-year-old entrepreneur schoolboy has set up a farming business after renting a neighbour s land to rear his flock of sheep. Young farmer William Banham has fed, watered and wormed eight animals before taking them to be slaughtered and selling on the produce. William, of Long Bredy, Dorset, who s not from a farming background, started out at the age of six, learning the ropes and determined to be his own boss.
