I can not complain too much about growing up because my parents took me to a lot of fun things as a kid.
One particular annual event that sticks out in my head is a water ski competition at Lamb s Farm in Libertyville. Teams from all over the country came there to compete.
The stunts were amazing. Those huge human pyramids would blow me away. The ski jumping was so exciting.
I always wanted to try water skiing but I did not have the opportunity until I was a senior in high school. My friend had a lake house in Wisconsin and we went up there for a weekend. I was not good but I still had a lot of fun giving it a try.
