BAGUIO CITY: The city government, represented by Mayor Benjamin Magalong, Technical Education and Skills Authority-Cordillera Administrative Region (Tesda-CAR), Regional Director (RD) Balmyrson Valdez, and Department of Labor and Nathaniel Lacambra of Employment (DoLE)-CAR, entered into a memorandum of agreement (MoA) on the Baguio City Night Market Livelihood Project. Around 75 night market stall vendors will be given livelihood enhancement and support from DoLE-CAR and Tesda-CAR. The DoLE Integrated Livelihood Program MoA signing aims to assist Tesda scholars in improving their welding skills by producing stainless collapsible food tables and rails for the food carts of the stall vendors. The stall design will be uniform and helpful, with a more robust frame against unpredictable weather conditions, albeit significantly weighing less, Tesda said. The improved portable stalls are expected to be released and ready for use by in July this year.
