Businesses cited for violating COVID-19 regulations
One business has paid a fine and one business owner said he will contest.
Rosanna Rabago, acting administrator for the Division of Environmental Health, the Public Health division tasked with enforcing the regulations, said on K-57 Wednesday morning that eight citations have been issued.
Janela Carrera, Public Health spokeswoman, said no individuals have been cited.
One business, Green Lizard, paid a $1,000 fine Feb. 4 after a citation was issued Jan. 8, according to Public Health. The establishment violated social distancing and mask-wearing regulations, according to Public Health.
The Guam Police Department issued a fine to San Agustin Funeral Home on Dec. 14, but Public Health noted the ticket wasn t received by the court.
