For the 2nd time in 10 days, someone was attacked by a shark at Smith Point Beach in New York. A 41-year-old man was knocked off his paddleboard and bitted early Wednesday morning.

According to reports, a surfer was attacked by a shark Wednesday morning. The attack happened off the same beach that a lifeguard was attacked by a shark a little more than a week ago. The attack happened at Smith Point County Park in Shirley, New York and was confirmed by a parks official.

The apparent attack was just the latest in a string of incidents on Long Island this summer.
