Initiative would ensure constant coordination between an investigation officer and the plaintiff APP April 04, 2021 ISLAMABAD: In its consistent effort to improve the working of the capital police and to keep complainants updated on the status of their first information reports (FIRs), the Islamabad Police Investigation Wing has launched a short message service (SMS) to provide instant information to the citizens. Under this automated system, both the complainant and the respective investigation officer (IO) would be intimated via SMS about the lodging of an FIR, a police spokesman disclosed to the media. He said the initiative would ensure constant coordination between an investigation officer and the plaintiff.
