the culmination of this 18-month-long investigation, you know, congress was the victim. let s not forget on january 6th, this is the select committee s final report. everything they ve collected. it is going to be out there really for historians to look at, even before that for the department of justice to look at. as you said for journalists to look at. we will learn so much more. don t forget. this is we already have learned so much since that and mainly from people inside the white house, from trump s inner circle, we saw a glimpse of that just the other day with hope hicks for the first time we saw her video testimony. i can t wait to read all of that, of course, ivanka trump and snippets of this in this programming of these hearings so we ll get the full sense but also what i m looking for is obstruction. what are the sort of recent attempts to kind of obstruct some of the narrative here to try to get some witnesses to not tell the full story. that i think will be central to
investigations into donald trump. there s also this one that we referred to earlier today, the referrals to the justice department, the criminal referrals, four criminal charges against donald trump and others. where does this leave special counsel jack smith who is also conducting two separate investigations into donald trump? right. so the justice department, a separate investigation at the federal level, if there are any charges that were to emerge, it would be in federal court, federal grand jury sitting in washington, d.c. and what this leaves smith with, the special counsel, is that the committee has done interviews of hundreds of people and has promised to make a lot of those interviews, the transcripts of them available. we ve already seen many of the witnesses having snippets of their depositions on tape being played in these hearings. but the justice department is going to be looking closely for what those transcripts say. we also are learning that the trump team as well, k
