Because of a lack of facilities, hes been waiting in jail for more than three months. He shouldnt be in there with the other jail people. Thats not a real black and white decision at times. Reporter he says more citizens are needed locally and says florida ranks 49th in the nation in Mental Health spending, and Treatment Programs like his are underfunded and usually have a waiting list. Reporter hes getting to go to grayson on tuesday, 117 days after being arrested. To act like its that way it just to be doing it. Reporter the Legislature Passed an additional 3. 5 million in funding for programs like this. If its signed into law, the program can serve about a third more people.
