The city of Ottawas environment committee has approved a plan to expand the green bin program to apartment buildings and other multi-unit properties.

The City of Ottawa is asking for feedback on how to handle trash, recycling, and becoming a zero-waste city.

City staff said in June that the landfill on Trail Road had 30 per cent remaining capacity at the end of 2019, and could run out of space in the next 15 years.
