The premiere of South Dakota Public TV’s Dakota Life episode featuring Timber Lake will be shown to the community on Tuesday, April 2 at the Timber Lake School Theater at 7 p.m. MT. The public is invited. Production of the program began in May, 2023 when longtime SDPTV producer Brian Gevik conducted interviews at Timber Lake. ABOVE, Gevik (left) talks with Ken Quinn, who appears in the show. Gevik passed away a few weeks ago but others at SDPTV completed his work. The Dakota Life episode will include stories on the 2023 Days of 1910 Rodeo and Celebration, the Timber Lake Unicycle Club, the Timber Lake School, and more. Gevik’s stories on the Timber Lake Museum and the Frank Cundill Photo Collection will also be shown at the April 2 event. They will not be part of the “Greetings from Timber Lake” episode when it airs on SDPTV on April 11 (7 p.m. MT) but will appear in SDPTV’s Facebook page, Instagram and web page.
