FuelTech s C8 Corvette makes an astonishing 1,075 wheel horsepower, and last month managed to run a 9.72-second quarter mile at 146 mph at Virginia Motorsports Park. But that wasn t enough for the team, who last week pushed the car further to a 9.61-second run at 148 mph at the South Georgia Motorsports Park.
With a set of sticky Mickey Thompson ET Street R Drag Radials fitted on the back and some nitrous adjustment, the guys managed to get the 60-foot time down to a respectable 1.38 seconds. Popping wheelies ain t easy: this Vette requires the help of twin Garrett G35-900 turbochargers boosting 21 psi and a constant flow of M1 methanol to lift the skinny front tires.

ADEL, Ga. (WALB) - Adel residents are still fighting against a Wood Pellet Plant coming to the area.
They are concerned about the effects it will have on the environment and their health.
Community members gathered in a virtual town hall meeting to discuss their concerns.
“We can’t be quiet, our lives depend on it,” said Dr. Treva Gear, the founding member of
Gear tells us they had an environmental scientist speak about the possible impacts this pellet can bring.

It happened a couple of days ago during the Diamond Pistons Lights Out 12 drag event at the South Georgia Motorsports Park. The car you’re seeing is a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro dubbed The Outlaw, according to Hot Cars, and the driver you’re not seeing is named Tim Slavens.
