Only three areas in north Hampshire have seen more than three confirmed coronavirus cases in the last seven days. There were seven confirmed cases in Popley and five in South Ham & West Ham while in Whitchurch and Ashmansworth there were four confirmed cases. In Andover, Tadley, Oakley and Overton, no recorded cases were reported in the last seven days, though for smaller areas with fewer than 3 cases, no data is shown to protect individual identities. Regarding vaccinations, over half of the entire population of the South East has received at least one dose of a vaccine, some 4.7 million people and over a fifth of people in the South East are fully vaccinated.

A NEW Covid testing site is opening today in Basingstoke after being constructed during the week. The testing site at Churchill Way Long Stay Car Park has replaced The Anvil testing site which closed on Tuesday. Residents with Covid symptoms can visit the site to be tested during the morning and, following a deep clean, it will be open again in the afternoon for collection of test kits for people without symptoms. Testing kits can also be collected from the testing site at South Ham Library, which also offers supervised asymptomatic testing for walk-ins or appointments can be booked on Hampshire County Council’s website.
