The opening comes after three years of renovation of the former West Marine headquarters, which have been vacant since the boating chain's relocation to Florida in 2021.
Though a grand opening celebration for the 121,000-square-foot facility has been scheduled for next month, the Monday move will make the Human Service Department the largest local agency to occupy the new building so far. Additional departments will move in this summer.
