Vietnam's digital economy is said to boast the fastest growth in the Southeast Asian region with gross merchandise value (GMV) expected to rise 28% year-on-year to 23 billion USD in 2022.
The nation is poised to set up seven maritime economic clusters by 2030, aiming to turn Vietnam into a strong marine country, and promote sustainable development in relevant regions, sectors and fields.
Vietnam and the Southeast Asian region have managed to maintain economic stability and growth despite COVID-19 and the Russia-Ukraine conflict, according to experts.
Vietnam is a leading important partner of the US in the Southeast Asian region, said Elizabeth Freund Larus, Professor of Political Science and International Affairs at the University of Mary Washington while talking to the Vietnam News Agency's resident correspondents in Washington D.C.
