Mathews spat at him and hurled racial slurs at the man on his own doorstep
On Monday a large crowd gathered outside Mathews house demanding arrest
After Mathews was taken from his home, protesters smashed his condo s windows and police in riot gear pushed them away from the area
Mathews has been charged with harassment and will face further charges
He told The Philadelphia Inquirer that he was drunk and lost his temper
He also claimed his anger was the result of a housing dispute he s been having with the homeowners association
