An Austinville man was arrested on Thursday and charged with 20 counts of possessing child pornography after police executed a search warrant at his residence.

YORK COUNTY, Va. - A York County man was arrested Wednesday on several counts of possession and production of child pornography.
The York-Poquoson Sheriff s Office, along with the Office of the Attorney General, arrested 41-year-old Robert Lyle Hoffman. Officials say he resides in the Lexington Subdivision of Kiln Creek.
Officials received tips from the Southern Virginia Internet Crimes against Children Task Force and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children which led to Hoffman s arrest.
As a result, Hoffman now faces one count of possession of child pornography, nine counts of second or subsequent possession of child pornography, one count of production of child pornography, and 9 counts of second or subsequent production of child pornography.
KILN CREEK On April 14, 2021, investigators with the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office (YPSO), with assistance from the Office of the Attorney General, arrested Robert Lyle Hoffman, a 41-year-old white male, who resides in the Lexington Subdivision of Kiln Creek. Tips were received from the Southern Virginia Internet Crimes against Children Task Force and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Hoffman was charged with the following:
• 1 count of Possession of Child Pornography
• 9 counts of second or subsequent Possession of Child Pornography
• 1 count of Production of Child Pornography
• 9 counts of second or subsequent Production of Child Pornography
He was transported to the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail and held without bond.

A tweet from the sheriff s office said Robert Lyle Hoffman, 41, was charged with:
one count of possession of child pornography
one count of production of child pornography
nine counts of second or subsequent possession of child pornography
nine counts of second or subsequent production of child pornography
Hoffman was taken to the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail, where he s being held without bond.
Sheriff Danny Diggs said he was proud of the investigators who made the arrest.
